Privacy summary
This is a plain-language summary provided during Laboryn's private beta.
It is not legal advice and is not the final binding agreement. The complete legal text —
including the operating legal entity, registered address and governing law — is being finalised with counsel
before Laboryn opens to the public. Questions: jad@laboryn.com.
What Laboryn processes
- Account & workspace: your name, email, workspace name, membership and role.
- Gmail (if you connect it): Laboryn reads new incoming messages to classify them and draft replies. The plain-text body is sent to our AI provider for that purpose. Laboryn does not store message bodies. It keeps short encrypted "decision snapshots" (sender, subject, a summary, the drafted reply) which auto-delete after 72 hours or immediately when you disconnect.
- Shopify (if you connect it): read-only order and customer data used to answer order-status questions.
- Usage records: counts and costs of AI work, kept for accounting and abuse prevention.
Who it is shared with
An AI provider (OpenAI) processes message text to classify and draft. A hosting provider runs the service. A transactional email provider sends account emails. Laboryn does not sell personal data and does not use your content to train general-purpose models.
Your choices
- Disconnect Gmail or Shopify at any time in Connections.
- Revoke Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Request access to, export of, or deletion of your data by emailing jad@laboryn.com.
Retention
Message bodies: not retained. Decision snapshots: 72 hours. Account and usage records: retained while your workspace is active and for a limited period afterward for security and legal reasons. Encrypted backups age out on a short rotation.
